Flights, rentals, and friends in 48 hours..

"What state am I in again?"

This is the question I found myself asking as I drove from visiting one friend to another today in lakeland Florida. As I stepped off of the airplane at 2:40 yesterday afternoon, I was greeted with a rather cool brisk breeze as I carried the car keys to a 2009 convertable eclipse! In need of transportation, Enterprise, had come to my rescue Friday afternoon and I was not upset at all to have needed to do business with them. As I looked down the rows of cars trying to find parking space # 670, my mouth fell open when I saw a comfortable sitting in it!!
I hopped in as if I had owned the car and knew everything about it, however, this was not the case. I sat down turned the key, and all of the sudden was overwhelmed with the sound of latino musica!! I screamed as I attempted to find the volume button, only to discover that it was invisible without the interior lights on. After locating the "power button," and punching it, I looked in the back seat and saw a 10 inch subwoofer between the back seats.
I literally laughed aloud and thought to myself, "I have got to try this thing out," I thought. Sure enough, traveling down I-4, anyone could have been serenaded to the sound of Bing Crosby and his base player in the song "White Christmas."
I am currently sitting in an a former favorite spot, "Panera Bread." The memories in this town are good ones, and full of adventure. Today, I was able to see the majority of those whom I consider to have been divinely placed in my life during my time as a Southeastern student. Graduations are a time to reflect, to enjoy, and to declare that the next chapter will be just as exciting and ordained as the former. Today close friends, Katie Radcliffe, Kelly Wallace, Sheldon Jeminez, Carol Rose, and Laura Praschan, reflected, enjoyed, and declared as they walked the stage of Victory Church, shaking the hands of professors who knew and believed in them and the call on their lives.
I am so very thankful to have been blessed with a last minute flight to Tampa, Florida to share this milestone moment with ones I love.

Take a moment and thank the Lord for covenant friendships ordained by God.
Now back to the dream car, memories, a couple of last goodbyes accompanied by latino music.

Thank you Lord for my friends and the chapters they will enter into. Anoint them and release your power over their lives, in the name of Jesus...

Onething 09' - Raleigh NC

Well,
This past weekend Onething was in town! Hundreds of college students gathered inside of Kings Park International Church in Raleigh NC to passionately pursue the knowledge of Jesus under the leadership and guidance of an incredible ministry team.

It was truly phenomenal walking into a sanctuary filled with words and cries of hungry love pursuers. The reality of a jealous ,un-relenting, unchanging, uncreated, Father pursuing His children became apparent to many believers during the two day conference.

It was a gentle reminder to hear that the uncreated God is seeking after me, whole-heartedly, and yearning to grant His Son His one request, to be with His bride once again.
This relationship with Jesus was never intended to witness and experience a divorce, but for a time we are divorced from our bridegroom, as a result of sin...
But our Father, who is merciful, kind, and gentle has an ultimate plan for His children to once again be with face to face forever. This is a reality not everyone has come in touch with. It is a taste and see reality that is available for everyone who accepts being grafted into the family. We are all God's people longing for the intimacy we once lived in the midst of...
"The Spirit and the bride say COME LORD JESUS!"

In Him,
Meg

So...why blog?

Hmmmm...
I have found that it is very interesting to remain updated by close friends who happen to be spread throughout the globe.
I have to thank my former roommate Bethany Seip for introducing me to this lovely outlet! I have found her blogs quite hysterical, moving, and motivational as she keeps her contacts informed about recent happenings in China. I admire and respect her enthusiasm and willingness to pack up and head into China to teach precious students. Miss you Beth...

Well, I am excited about this season, fall tends to heightened the awareness I have about my surroundings for some reason. I often find myself excited to be outside, just to breathe in the cool air or see the beautiful array of leaves that blanket the ground.

This year is much different for me, for the past three years I have not been able to enjoy the seasonal change due to living in the beautiful sunny state of Florida! It is definitely exciting to be back in a state that has four seasons! I am a little biased for my hometown state. :O)

I am currently loving every moment of being a "first year," middle school teacher. From 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., we engage in deep discussions about the everlasting love of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the jealous love of our Heavenly Father. This has to be the best job in the world. I am cautioned with the fear of the Lord on days when I find my self slipping into a "funk," rather than dwelling in it, I am learning more about the power of speaking the word of God over my life and day. Boy does it make a difference. Almost immediately, the joy of the Lord surrounds my body, encouraging me to endure for the sake of growing closer to my creator in order to love and live as He is.

Thank you Lord for your unchanging, never-ending, everlasting, jealous, unrelenting love.

Set apart from Him we can do nothing. Father, it is my prayer that in all I do today, you would grant me the grace to walk in righteousness for your name sake. Amen

Love,
Meg
